Good to know

This is a modern, minimalistic villa. The bedroom has air-conditioning and has a HUGE bed (7ft x 7ft), and the sofa easily converts into a king size double bed. There is an artistically curated dining space, fully fitted kitchen and lounge. The main bedroom also has a private terrace. The villa also has a lovely bathroom with hot and cold shower, superfast fibre internet access, washing machine, pantry and ceiling fans throughout. The kitchen has everything you need: large fridge, freezer, gas stove, oven, kettle and a 7 stage filtered water system ensuring you are drinking great quality water. The villa has a private, Bali style swimming pool, custom designed to be a social space with social seating. The villa is in an amazing location: on a quiet street, right by town: -3 minutes walk to the nearest beach -3 minute walk to one of the best surf breaks in Sri Lanka (Marshmellow) -7 minute walk to the bustling Ahangama town where you will find lots of places to eat and drink, It's also close to many tourist attractions, only 20 minutes to Weligama, 25 minutes to Unawatuna Beach and 40 minutes to Galle Fort.

It's a small but extremely well planned out villa. Everything has a aesthetically satisfying place to stay and the space is very well used. The area is amazing. You can get pickme/uber rides easily we felt much safer here than Weligama. We were slightly annoyed by the seasonal bugs but it's to be expected in Sri Lanka and the house came equipped with things to deal with them. 10/10 I would stay again. I fell in love with Ahangama after this stay

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Joseph’s place was absolutely perfect! The location is peaceful yet close to great beaches, cafes, and surf spots. The house was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Joseph was incredibly responsive and helpful with local recommendations. I really appreciated the warmth and hospitality — it felt like a home away from home. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone visiting Ahangama!

Wir hatten einen sehr guten Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft von Joseph und wären gerne länger geblieben. Das Haus entsprach den Fotos und der Beschreibung . Wir fühlten uns ab dem ersten Moment sehr wohl und Willkommen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Sauberkeit, die schnelle und gute Kommunikation und der flexible Check-In und Check-Out. Außerdem ist die Lage super, einerseits abgelegen und daher ruhig, gleichzeitig jedoch in wenigen Gehminuten von tollen Cafés und Surfspots entfernt. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen! :)

We had a lovely stay at Villa Nivasa! Joe was super responsive and helpful - organised a cot last minute for us. The location is an easy walk to town and great location cafes. A very cute villa if you’re looking to be close to town but outside the hustle and bustle. We can’t wait to stay again!

Our stay at Joseph’s place was really nice, the place looked exactly like it does in pictures. Beautiful art and ceramics in the house and lush greenery all around. The neighbourhood was very quiet and peaceful and yet walking distance from the Main Street. We did miss air conditioning in the lounge area because it does get very warm during the day. There is a security camera between the main entrance to the house and the pool area which made us a bit uncomfortable. However Joseph did assure us that it’s pointing downwards. Overall it was amazing and we had a great time.

We cannot recommend this villa enough! There are so many details that made our stay very pleasant: we were greeted with a bowl full of fresh fruit, local snacks, tea, and coffee, cold water in the fridge and if we needed more water, we could just use a tab with filtered water in the kitchen. The kitchen is also very well equipped with everything we needed for cooking and preparing our 11 months old baby‘s food. There‘s even a washing mashine so we could wash our clothes with the provided detergent. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the villa is located in a very quiet area so we could have a good night sleep! The villa and the beautiful pool were cleaned regularly and if we had any questions or requests, we could always message Joseph (our host) or the housekeeper and they helped us immediately. Thank you to the whole Nivasa team for this beautiful experience! We can‘t wait to come back one day!
